Four Months For Franny

Wednesday officials have now revealed that injury-hit striker Francis Jeffers will now be sidelined for around four months following his injury against Stoke.

Owls boss Brian Laws revealed that the former Everton and Arsenal man would be out up until Christmas following his ankle injury picked up in the 4-2 win at the Britannia Stadium earlier this month.

But club Physio Mark Palmer has now revealed that the 'fox in the box', who has endured an injur-ravaged career to date, is likely to be out for closer to four months, heaping further woe on the Owls.

'We have put a timeframe of approximately four months on Franny's return, Palmer told BBC Sport.

'The X-rays were inconclusive because the ankle was so swollen - it was one of the most swollen ankles I've seen.'

So it looks as though Jeffers will be sidelined until at least the start of March, with Wednesday likely to be in no rush to get Jeffers back in action.
