Owls Linked With Taylor

You know what they say, there's no smoke without fire, and Wednesday have today been linked with bringing in Scuthorpe's Cleveland Taylor.

Both the Daily Mirror and the Daily Star are reporting that the unsettled midfielder is looking for a way out of of Glanford Park, with Owls boss Brian Laws showing an interest in his former man.

The Leicester-born midfield man has made 11 appearances for the Iron this season, and featured in the 2-1 victory over Wednesday at Hillsborough last month, providing Martin Paterson with the winning goal.

And Taylor would add more Jamaican factor to the Owls side, having represented the nation at under-21 level and coming through the Premiership ranks with Bolton Wanderers - similar to that of Jermaine Johnson.

The 24-year-old was also billed as a midfielder-striker at the Reebock Stadium but Laws used him in the Iron midfield and defence during his time at Scunthorpe.

Do we really need more midfielders? Or would more defensive cover be better? Replacement for Jeffers? We already have some quality midfielders that are'nt played, (folly etc) coz they can't get in the team - why more?

Dont know nothing about the guy but im sure there are better players out their for us?
will it ever happen
Sure there are, Gerrard, Crouch, Rooney, Beckham, but what's more important is which players are happy to come play for us with the wages we're able to offer......

What is this obsession with midfielders? We needed defenders before the season started and though the opening games. We need them now.
