Blades Clash Televised

Wednesday's Sheffield derby clash with bitter rivals Sheffield United on Saturday, January 19 has been moved to a lunchtime kick-off for Sky.

It was always expected that the Steel City clash would be moved from a 3pm kick-off on a Saturday on poice advice, but now fans unable to make the clash will be able to see it at the earlier time of 12.45pm live on Sky Sports.

The news could well have mean less tickets are sold for the match, although a gate in excess of 30,000 is expected for the match, with Blades fans expected to sell out the Leppings Lane end as usual.

Wednesday have had mixed fortunes in front of the TV camera this season, with victories over Rotherham and Norwich and the disappointing home defeat to Bristol City all being shown on Sky so far.

And Wednesday will be hoping to break their Hillsborough hoodoo on Sky this time around, with anything possible as both sides struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table so far this term.
