Owls Track Former Leeds Man

Wednesday are tracking former Leeds United and Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris to bolster their midfield according to reports in the weekend papers.

The 28-year-old, who has attracted attention for his off the field antics as much as his on the pitch capabilities, is a free agent after failing to find a club since leaving Millwall in the summer.

And the News Of The World is reporting that Owls boss Brian Laws is one of a number of managers looking at the possibility of bringing the midfielder to S6 to bolster their midfield following the departure of Graham Kavanagh to Sunderland following his loan spell.

Laws could also be looking to add competition for places in the middle of the park should star man Glenn Whelan leave for pastures new in the January transfer window, with a number of clubs already been linked with the Irishman.

Morris started his career as the 'next best thing' with Chelsea before joining Leeds on a free transfer in 2003, making just eleven league starts before moving on to Rotherham and then Millwall.

It's thought that the Fulham-born midfielder is also being tracked by Luton Town and MK Dons as he looks to get his career back on track.

Placebo - yes I did see him play and thought he was decent. Maybe I had my rose tinted specs on as looked out for him from him being a kid - did anyone see that series on Chelsea youth team years back? I just don't think we can rule him out - if we lose Whelan in Jan think we need back up. If he's not got a club he can't be too picky on wages either.
SuperOwls
i am with you superowls just thought he was worth alook
