Spirit Level Delights Laws

Wednesday boss Brian Laws was delighted at the spirit shown by his Owls chartges as they snatched a late, controversial point against high-flying West Brom on Tuesday night.

The Baggies looked to have secured all three points before Steve Watson returned to his former hunting ground to bag the Owls a share of the spoils deep in to second half stoppage time.

And although West Brom boss Tony Mowbray was left fuming following the leveller, Owls boss Laws insists his the hard work his men put in against one of the best sides in the division helped them to a point.

'I have to say it's an excellent point away from home, especially against West Brom who must be one of the best teams, if not the best team in the Championship that I have seen so far,' Laws told the official SWFC website.

'It was a real tough job today. there are not going to be many teams that come to the Hawthorns and take points away this season. They are a never-say-die outfit who are prepared to go gung-ho. I know Tony Mowbray's philisophy is that if they score six we will score seven.'

And the Owls gaffer, who has now steered Wednesday to seven points from nine inn Wednesday's last three away fixtures, is confident the Owls' luck has changed from their disastrous start to the campaign.

He added: 'That spirit that was missing at the start of the season is coming back now and we have worked our socks off in our last two away performances.'

I think this is our opportunity - let's sack Laws now while the going is good.

That's the Jeffers who was finding his feet and according to many fans of the club had one of the best forward displays in years before he was viciously assaulted and had his ankle smashed by a cowardly defender who got off with only a yellow card?
Placebo
YES PLACEBO YOUR RITE MATE just hope he can get back dont think we will see him this season though
mick66owl
Maybe he'll play in a few meaningless end of season matches after we've already secured automatic promotion ;)
