Owls Duo Available For Loan

Owls Duo Available For Loan

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has made Owls duo Kenny Lunt and Yoann Folly available for loan after revealing he needs to send players out to bring new players in.

Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield that the duo would be made for loan with immediate effect after failing to break in to the Wednesday first team of late.

The pair will join Lee Bullen and Peter Gilbert on the loan list, who haven't had any interest in a deal away from Hillsborough just yet.

'We've had one or two but nobody's been firming up anything. The likes of Kenny Lunt, Yoann Folly who's not in the side at the moment, there's Gilbert who's not been figuring,' Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.

He added: 'It's up to the clubs to come forward now.'

It's well known of the dire financial situation currently looming over S6, and Laws will have to raise the funds to bring any new players to the club by letting current players go.

Former Owls boss Paul Sturrock brought Frenchman Folly to S6 from Southamtpon, and it's though the Scotsman could well be interested in taking the midfielder down to Swindon Town after previous links.

Lunt for sure but not Folly, unless he's had the nod to bring back Kav?
will it ever happen

why does folly never get a chance? it was his ball that set up BoB for the winner against plymouth so he can't have been that bad. and i didn't think we had that much strength in depth to let all these players go on loan!!

Lunt has been disapointing since his arrival, so he should go, but Folly hasn't been given much of a choicel. With the signing of Esajas, plus JJ, Whelan, Obrien and Small we only have minimal cover so if they do go, Kav MUST return. Also. will Whelan be leaving in January? not yet signed a new contract to my knowledge.

Lunt is crap and has had a fair crack at the whip to show how bad he is. Folly on the other hand seems to have nothing but decent games for us when he gets the chance and yet hasn't had a real chance to prove himself - I'd feel pretty hard done to if I was him. Always rated the bloke personally, worth a shot in midfield and even if he's on the bench it only need another Watson injury or another Whelan suspension and who else have we got to play in the middle of the park? Very strange decision to let Folly go.

You're probably right Mick66 but why aren't they up front with us about the real story instead of letting us moan between each other about how hard done to Folly (and we!) are! A bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss!
