Scots Set For Bullen Swoop

Wednesday club captain Lee Bullen could well be on his way out of Hillsborough sooner than expected with a move north of the border said to be on the cards for the 36-year-old.

The Scotsman is out of favour under current Owls boss Brian Laws, and SPL side St Mirren are said to have reported in his services when the January transfer window re-opens.

And Wednesday could well be set to let their club skipper move away from S6 after over three years in the blue and white jersey, as Laws continues to build his squad and make funds available to bring new players in during the January window.

Laws has already revealed that the jack-of-all-trades has been made available for a loan deal after falling down the pecking order at Hillsborough, but the Scottish outfit could well be the first side to show a firm interest in his services.

And Bullen, who lifted the League One Play-Off Final trophy for Wednesday as he helped guide them back to the Championship during his first season with the club, could leave even earlier than January should Wednesday allow him to be released from his contract early.

Bullen has been somewhat of a modern day cult hero at S6, having played in all eleven positions for the club and showing his never-say-die attitude in every match - over 100 of them.

Bullen is a great ambassador for the club but this season has caught him out a bit really. Will still be sorry to see him go though.

It looks like it could be the end of Bullens wednesday career, and a fantastic servent he has been for us. A true professional and a great leader.

Seems a good skipper..
