Sturrock Starts 'Keeper Search

Paul Sturrock looks set to begin his search for an emergency goalkeeper following the injury picked up by David Lucas in Saturday's win at Millwall.

The former Preston NE stopper had only just returned from a long-term injury and now looks set to be out for weeks or even months.

Wednesday are not permitted to sign Nicky Weaver on-loan again, as football league rules restrict the number of times a player can be loaned.

Paul Sturrock had said he will stick with reserve goalkeeper Chris Adamson should Lucas be injured again, but Adamson was thought to have picked up a niggling injury himself.

Defender Lee Bullen staked a claim for a starting place in goal after making a neat save from a Doug Livermore free-kick at the weekend, but is unlikely to keep his place for the match against Palace this week!
