Laws Up For Award

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has been rewarded for turning the Owls' fortunes around in November by being shortlisted for the Championship manager of the month award.

Laws, who endured a torrid start to the season with six straight defeats, steered his charges to two wins and two draws in November so far - the highlight being the 5-0 mauling of Southampton last time out at S6.

Wednesday started the month in fine style with a 2-1 victory at high-flying Plymouth, before a last-minute leveller from Steve Watson saw them bag a point at West Brom, and the 0-0 stalemate at QPR on Saturday stretched their unbeaten run to five games.

Laws will be up against Charlton boss Alan Pardew, Hull manager Phil Brown, and tonight's opponent Simon Davey, with the result in tonight's South Yorkshire derby possibly swinging the result of the award for either manager.

Chris Kamara will announce the winner of the gong on Sky Sports News later this week.

Think the announcment is on Thursday afternoon. I think it will be between Laws himself and Pardew. If Charlton beat the pigs tonight he will win it because they will have won all five games this month. Do we want BL yto win it anyway because we all know what happens when a manager wins that award!!!
will it ever happen
