Laws Bags Manager Of The Month

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has been awarded the Manager Of The Month award for the month of November after going through the month unbeaten.

Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara announced Laws had picked up the award thanks to Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over Barnsley - just pipping West Brom boss Tony Mowbray to the award.

Charlton boss Alan Pardew was also up for the award but fell in to third place after falling to a 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United in midweek, while Barnsley boss Simon Davey came in fourth.

Laws helped steer Wednesday to three wins and two draws in November, making the Owls the form side of the division after a stuttering start to their campaign.

An impressive 2-1 victory away at high-flying Plymouth kicked-off the month, while a 1-1 draw at West Brom followed, and the match of the month, the 5-0 thrashing of Southampton, put the icing on the cake.

Wednesday finished the month with a creditable 0-0 stalemate at the improving QPR, before victory in the South Yorkshire derby topped off the Owls' best month to date.

Let's just hope the dreaded 'Manager Of The Month Curse' doesn't hit Wednesday when they welcome Colchester United to Hillsborough on Saturday.

Nice one, Brian!
