Akpo Up For Gong

Akpo Up For Gong

Brian Laws has already bagged the Manager of the Month gong for November, and now striker Akpo Sodje has been nominated for the Player of the Month gong.

Sodje is one of four players nominated for the Powerade Player of the Month for his performances in November, which have helped Wednesday go unbeaten and turned their season around in a matter of weeks.

The lanky frontman arrived at S6 with a question mark over his head from Port Vale, but has proved his doubters wrong with some five-star performances in the blue and white stripes, netting five goals along the way.

And Akpo will be hoping to make it a Wednesday double on the November monthly honours list, which will be revealed at 7pm on Monday 3rd December on Big League Weekend 2 on Sky Sports 1.

Charlton Athletic striker Chris Iwelumo, Ipswich Town hitman Jonathan Walters, and experienced Hull City striker Dean Windass are also up for the award.
