Maclean Makes Scoring Return

Owls boss Paul Sturrock will have a selection problem at the weekend as Steve Maclean bagged two goals in the reserves 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest last night.

Last season's top scorer for the Owls scored two penalties and set up a goal for Sean McAllister with an inch-perfect through ball.

Maclean featured on the bench against Millwall for the first time this season. Paul Sturrock had said previously that he doesn't want to risk the Scot and bring him back in to action too early.

Coach Mark Smith said it was the best performance from a reserve team in two years, paying particular attention to captain Sean McCallister, who netted the second goal.
