More Interest In Whelan

The Owls today rejected another bid for Glenn Whelan.

Following the sub-standard offer from Plymouth Argyle (reported to be less than the rumoured 250k pounds), the latest club to express a firm interest in the soon-to-be 24 year old Irish U21 international is Burnley.

On the official SWFC web site, Brian Laws stated 'I can confirm that we have received a bid from Burnley for Glenn Whelan but it is certainly not an offer that interests us at this time and we have turned it down accordingly.' No comment so far from Clarets boss Owen Coyle.

Stoke, Derby and Bolton have all been linked with the midfielder over the past few days.

A bidding war has staarted and just watch his price tag sore, we will sell him for £4million trust me!!
will it ever happen
never trust a man who says trust me
mick66owl
There will be better clubs to come in for him yet I'm afraid.
McQuaid-Owls
only trouble with him going to derby or bolton for him is that derby will be in championship next season and bolton will probably come with them bougherra all over again think on glen
mick66owl
Surprised a club like Watford aren't looking for him considering they're looking at Kav, they'll be a premiership club next year bar a shocking loss of form
McQuaid-Owls
never trust a man who says trust me??...... especially wen he says glenn whelan gonna go for 4mil... he's worth £1m at a push!!
FUTURES BLUE N WHITE
