'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hands Off Our Tommeh!

The Owls have turned down a recent bid from QPR for Vital SWFC sponsored defender Tommy Spurr.

The official Wednesday web site reveals the Hoops made a play for the 20 year old last month.. the recent bid was an improved offer but the top brass at S6 rebuffed the Londoners.

Brian Laws said: 'We have received an improved offer from QPR for Tommy Spurr but the bid was turned down immediately.'

Spurr is catching the eye at the moment with his solid displays at left back, out of position, and was the deserved winner of the Player of the Month gong in December. His current contract runs until summer 2009.

Good to see we've turned it down, good player getting better week in week out an playing out of position, no questions asked, no prima-donna moaning, just gets on with doing a solid steady job, fair play Tommy !
McQuaid-Owls
If he's a handy leftback then expect a bid from Watford at some point too...QPR are trying to build a defense and seem to insist in throwing in bad after bid to break rivals.
DrWatford
i would take 1.5mill for an average player like spurr

Why on earth would he go to a club what will be relegated at the end of the season!!!

Don't think Qpr will be relegated WIEH with the money they have an the signings their making
