Owls' Pitch A Concern

Wednesday's FA Cup 3rd Round replay clash with Derby County tonight could be in doubt following the heavy rain around S6, but the club are hopeful the match will go ahead.

The Owls have already seen their Championship clash with Coventry City abandoned earlier this season due to heavy rain, on top of the flooding that put the Hillsborough pitch under water during the summer.

And the heavy rain which has already fallen and is forecast for the remainder of the day has prompted the club to monitor the state of the pitch ahead of tonight's match, which is due to kick-off at 7.45pm.

The Owls are currently in contact with the FA regarding the pitch, but a statement on the official SWFC website revealed that the match is still scheduled to go ahead as of 10am.

All fans hoping to attend tonight's match with the Rams should continue to check the official SWFC website, and Vital Sheffield Wednesday, for any further updates.
