Macca Re-Joins King Paul

Former Wednesday striker Steve Maclean has joined forces with former Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock after agreeing a £500,000 move to Plymouth Argyle today.

The Scottish hitman, who helped fire Wednesday to promotion from League One in 2005, had found life difficult after making the free transfer switch to Ninian Park during the summer, making just a handful of appearances for Dave Jones' men.

And Sturrock has acted quickly to bag the man who was his first choice striker during his successful stint at S6, getting Macca to sign a three-and-a-half year deal with the Pilgrims.

Maclean had a superb spell in the famous blue and white stripes, bagging 32 goals in 60 league starts during his time at Hillsborough before falling down the pecking order and being allowed to leave for nothing during the summer.

And the Edinburgh-born former Rangers and Scunthorpe man will have the chance to get one over on the Owls should he return with the Argyle squad that makes the trip to Hillsborough on Saturday, April 12.

Well if he's worth £500k and has spent his entire Cardiff spell on the sidelines, what's Whelan worth then if Plymouth are interested?
will it ever happen
He's over rated, just glad he's not over here anymore. Cardiff must be *****ing themselfs all the way to the bank. I bet he's already put the address of Plymouth hospital in the favorites on his sat nav
