Derby Clash In Doubt

Derby Clash In Doubt

Wednesday's FA Cup 3rd Round replay clash with Derby County tonight is in doubt with the pitch undergoing an inspection this morning.

The initial replay was already postponed last Tuesday after heavy rain on the Hillsborough pitch, with a cover being brought in to make sure the Steel City derby went ahead on Saturday.

But following the clash, which the Owls won 2-0, the rain has continued to fall, with Owls' officials expected to make an announcement at 11am today as to whether the match can finally go ahead.

Should the clash be postponed once again, the Rams are expected to visit Hillsborough on Saturday, when the 4th Round matches are underway.

Keep posted on Vital Sheffield Wednesday or on the official SWFC website for further updates.
