Owls Target Enckelman?
Blackburn Rovers stopper Peter Enckelman is the latest name to be linked with a loan move to the Owls as Paul Sturrock seeks cover for the injured David Lucas.
Sturrock has said he wants to sign a 'keeper on loan until the end of the season, despite the good performance by reserve stopper Chris Adamson at the weekend. Adamson is the only professional 'keeper at the club.
He also hinted that he was eyeing a goalkeeper who was a substitute for a Premiership club at the weekend - which drew speculation towards WBA third choice stopper Russell Hoult.
The injury pile up at the Hawthorns may mean that Sturrock will have to turn his attention elsewhere - with former Aston Villa goalkeeper Enckelman the likely choice.
The Finnish International has only made two appearances for Rovers since moving to Ewood Park on a permanent basis in January 2004. He chalked up 51 starts for Villa before moving to Lancashire for £150,000.
