Weaver arrived at Hillsborough one a one-year deal in the summer of 2010 after previously enjoying a successful loan spell at the club during the 2005/2006 campaign.

A lifelong Wednesdayite, he soon became a big hit with the fans, testament to which has been recognition by the fans in winning the Player of the Month awards for September and October.

After a solid first season back at Hillsborough, Weaver signed a new two-year contract in April 2011 that will keep him at the club until summer 2013.
