David Prutton joined the Owls in May 2011 on a free transfer from Swindon Town having made 46 appearances for The Robins in 2010. Prior to his stint in the West Country, the central midfielder represented Colchester United, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Southampton, who paid 2.5m for his services.

He made an immediate impact in his first game for The Owls, scoring a sensational volley from the edge of the 18 yard box.

With his combative style and long flowing locks, it's thought he will have a cult following and prove a big hit with the fans.
