Gueugnon, Amiens, Plymouth Argyle
Réda is a rugged central defender who signed for the Owls in the January transfer window of 2011, penning a three and a half year contract. He signed from League 1 rivals Plymouth for an undisclosed fee.
Johnson began his career with Gueugnon in France, the country of his birth. He moved on to fellow French side Amiens, where his impressive rearguard displays alerted Plymouth Argyle who beat SPL side Aberdeen for his signature and Johnson soon developed into a crowd favourite at Home Park.
He had the possibility of playing for four different countries, with his father being an American of Beninian descent, his mother being of Algerian descent and Johnson himself being born in France. However, on February 11 2009 Johnson made his debut for Benin in a friendly against Algeria.
