Coke joins Wednesday after falling out of contract at SPL side Motherwell and became Alan Irvine's fifth summer signing of 2010.

Irvine said of his new acquisition "Giles is a two-footed, athletic midfielder and I have been aware of him since his time at Mansfield and Northampton. He has played a lot of games in League One and a lot of games for his age."

The midfielder made a good start to life at Wednesday with his powerful performances in the middle of the park. This made him a real asset at Hillsborough until injuries struck and he has struggled to regain his form and place in the team on a consistent basis since.
