Beevers is a Barnsley lad and progressed through the SWFC youth ranks after joining the club at the age of 12 before breaking into the under-18 and reserve sides at the end of the 2005/06 season.

He finished 2007/08 campaign by being awarded the Football League's Young Apprentice of the Year. This drew admiring glances from a number of higher profile clubs but since then he has found it hard to replicate that form consistently.

Strong in the air and hard in the tackle, Beevers is now established at Hillsborough but may see his first-team opportunities limited with the arrival of Rob Jones and the loan signing of Danny Batth.
