Severely lacking in quality until Tommy's rasper! What a goal to score in front of the cameras. Very unlucky to concede like we did on 2 minutes. Some appalling refereeing decisions. Linesmen poor again. Sums up our season. Just hope another 4 draws will keep us up!

all in all a good point tonight for you and the table reads well. to be fair you should have won the game, you were just missing that killing instict up front. the ref and linesmen had a good game dont forget we see everything 10 times over on sky compared to you guys when you are there. that is deffinately a point gained as it seemed it was never going to happen. dont you wish you had sir beattie? 10m and he is yours!! ha ha

Typical Wednesday bad luck eh. Conceding in 1st minute by the jammiest of goals. We played badly but to our credit kept going and it's maybe that attitude that will eventually keep us up though for 80 minutes I was convinced we were down. Good old Tommy - I'm probably his worst critic and I'll say again that his 1 on 1 defending is dreadful but credit to him he came up with the goods last ngiht when no-one else could. BFL - you best keep Beattie as he's the one and only thing that's kept you out of the position we're in now this season, without him you'd be doomed I reckon. Sorry to be harsh but no-one else would get a look in our side. that's not a nasty dig just my honest opinion.
SuperOwls
to be fair we have quality all over but are desperately short in midfield and if we strengthen that in the midfield we should be celebrating come may.
bladesforlife1889
I'd rather have Beevers and Woody at centre back than any others in this division - in my view it's the part they've played that's kept us hanging in. I doubt anyone would moan about having any one of JJ, Small or Songo'o flying up and down their wings and Sodje could be a force ot be reckoned with next season. Add into that equation Frankie, Macca, Tudgay, a fit Jeffers and we have quite a team...on paper. BLF - who do you reckon are your best players this season? Haven't seen much of you this season but I sit opposite a Blade at work and he's been unimpressed with any individual player for you this season. Isn't there a bit of envy for any of our players int here somewhere?? ;-)
SuperOwls
Players that could have been in the starting 11 if not injured: Lee Bullen, Richard Hinds, Frankie Simek, Steve Watson, Etienne Esajas, Graham Kavanagh, Sean McAllister, Francis Jeffers, Akpo Sodje, Marcus Tudgay. 10 people, a whole damn team...
RatherRandomOwl
Crazy isn't it! Is it just us that is ALWAYS affected by loads of injuries to key players or do all teams suffer this?? We do seem to have bad luck at this club!
SuperOwls
It is crazy. I'm looking forward to the next season, in the same division, with these guys fit, a takeover and some additional signings. UP THE OWLS!
RatherRandomOwl
Yeeeaaah! Bring it on!!
SuperOwls
Total domination apart from the first 10 minutes. Did everything right, just miss that killer instinct in-front of goal. For me BL has to start with Sulslarski for the remainder of the season instead of Burton, changed the game and made something happen.
will it ever happen
Agree with starting Sulslarski WIEH but I would have him on for Sahar - didn't think he got involved last night whereas Burton gets about and wins every header he goes for - nice flick ons for Slugs to get the end of. Him and Sahar seem too similar to play together for me.
SuperOwls
On the matter of the ref I really thought him and his OAP linesman were dreadful last night, though I accept we didn't have the benefit of replays. The stats say a lot - they had double our fouls yet same cards. That clothes line attack on Slugs was dreadful! just heard Laws saying we picked up another injury last night - any idea who and what??
SuperOwls
all you guys are hoping for is a big investment / injection of cash asap. to be fair you carnt have everything handed to you. look at us we have done it the hard way and now its paying its worth. hopefully we can add to what we have get rid of some deadwood and sign 3 or 4 quality players. michael brown, chris eagles, jason koumas and danny *Shittu would be spot on!!
bladesforlife1889
Come on BFL, which club would say no to a cash injection?? Yes of course it would be great for us and our financial position but I think we'll be OK even if we don't get it - we've been in this position financially for so long it's just what we're used to now. Nice to see some good kids coming through our ranks too - saves us a few pennies on transfer fees! Have you got any promising youngsters coming through yet - I go past your academy on way to work every day but never hear of any getting close to first team. Is it too early days yet?
SuperOwls
yeh you right mate you youth policy has been excellent over the past 3 years ans has probably kept you challenging at this level to be fair. the big question is will you be able to keep hold of beevers and spurr? probably not. yeh you right united has invested heavily in their acadamy but no one seems to be coming through apart from jordan robertsons, who is getting rave reviews. he should break into the first team squad next season quite easilly.
bladesforlife1889
Of course I'd love to say we could keep hold of them and Beevers signed a new 5 year contract earlier this season I think so hopefully we'll keep him for a while until we get into the Prem.... ;-)
