well after today i hope SM does NOT get the job. we got rid of BL because he never changed anything, then SM comes in and keeps things the same-why???? the problem was that the team selections werent good enough and then he keeps it the same, could not believe it. we would have been better off doing a complete re-shuffle of the playing squad than play the same drivel that got humiliated against leicester. gray needs to play left back, spurr needs time out of the 1st team, hes been very poor recently as has tudgay, potter and clarke. honestly cant see how were going to stay up in this league unless the investment comes before jan 1st.

Supersi I've championed Mac and my optimism has taken a real knock. Couldn't believe he picked the same team.

Hate to say it, but hello league 1!

wait lads, yes i could not understand it but now he knows how s**t they are he can change things up i dont think he is the man maybe a no2 we need a strong bloke who will sell all our s**t buy in some bargains...when the investment comes lol will be millionaires

ps my comments were left at 21.30 for those who called me a part time fan

the thing is horbury, that anyone who has been to the last 5 matches can see how s**t we are, so picking the same side today was just going to have the same outcome, so why do it??? we need a manager who, like you said, clears out all the dead wood(of which there is a lot!!!!) and isant afraid to drop players and shake things up. like for me, ive no idea why tudgay is in the first eleven. whats he done that makes him deserve a place???
supersibon
That is a fair point, if it had been someone coming fresh to the club fair enough but this was his big chance to make an impression. Why re-inforce failure? I'm really quite depressed. Not looking forward to next week.

unfortunately it could be that those players are the best ones we have. personally I don't think they are but both Macauly and Laws before him see them all everyday in training.

Didn't go today my mate said first half much better and could not believe we were losing. Second half he left on 75 mins...again. I don't know what the answer is in a way I must admit keeping the same side was bit of a suprise. We are in for a very long bleak winter and unless we pick up points against those around us we are heading back into league one. Can't see where the next win let alone goal is coming from. I am afriad on the pitch we have gone into reverse by about 5 years. Useless.

supersibon yes m8 I agree with all you say I was just offering another view as for tudgay we should not have stood in his way we are paying now! m8 personally I thought the same as everyone on here well why the hell pick that lot but he must have his reasons?
HorburyOwl
If we don't get any investment soon i think we should cash in on Tudgay asap. A bit controversial i know but we could get a substantial amount of cash to spend on players with more hunger to play for the club. This is nothing personal against Tudgay as 90% of the team don't deserve to wear our blue and white shirt. Unfortunately he is the most expensive player at the club.

Time and Time again i av sed WHY not giv the younsters a run out im sure they wud play wi more passion n fire that wots out there @ this moment in time.

I've got a theory about why McAuley didn't change the side in any way last week - I think he wanted to show everyone that there was basically nothing wrong with the side and that with his (McAuley's) superior tactical brain and coaching skills he would get a result. A bit of a gamble but had he got it right, we would have all blamed Laws for being a rubbish coach and McAuley would have given himself a good chance of getting the job on a permanent basis. Pity it went spectacularly wrong! To those who post on here and other sites saying we should put the academy kids in before they are ready know nothing about football. If the experienced players we have at the club aren't good enough to get us out of this mess then the kids won't be either except that the damage to their confidence could ruin them forever.
